The Northern Kentucky and TENCO Workforce Development Boards (partners in the Kentucky Career Center network) along with the Buffalo Trace and Northern Kentucky Area Development Districts have organized a Regional Job Fair for Thursday, March 29.
The Job Fair, which will be held at Maysville Community and Technical College in Maysville, is open to high school students from 9-11 a.m., and to the general public 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The job fair will feature 40-plus companies in Northern Kentucky and TENCO region who represent industries such as advanced manufacturing, construction and trades, government services, healthcare, hospitality, information technology/business/finance, and transportation/logistics. Over 200 high school seniors from Mason, Bracken, Fleming, Lewis, and Robertson counties are registered to attend the morning session.
“This job fair is a win-win for employers and the newest members of our local workforce,” Lisa McCane, superintendent of Augusta Independent Schools, said. “Our area high schools do a great job preparing students for a traditional college and technical career pathway; however, students who choose to enter the workforce immediately upon graduation need additional support and resources.”
