“Teachers are Shining Stars!” The TENCO Workforce Development Area appreciates what teachers do for us each day. Teachers not only educate us, but they shape who we are and help develop our character. They are an example to students and help develop their work ethic.
Teachers are recognized by the TENCO Workforce Board as a profession where there is a need for trained and qualified professionals. So, what can the TENCO WIOA program do for someone who wants to become a teacher?
There is scholarship funding available to assist with tuition, books, and supportive services. This scholarship is for the last 2 years of an education degree in the areas of elementary education, special education, along with middle school and secondary school math, science, English, and social studies degrees.
